Professional Statement

Dr. Shirley K. Sawai completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal- Fetal Medicine. She has been practicing Maternal-Fetal Medicine in The Valley of the Sun since 1991.  She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Arizona College Of Medicine.  She joined Arizona Perinatal Care Centers in 2016.  Her special interests lie in diagnostic ultrasonography, diabetes management in pregnancy, prematurity prevention and global health outreach, having participated in many medical mission trips around the world.
